My growing interest in sanitation resource recovery led to my job position with Green Cycle Technologies as a Production and Sales Manager. My role provided me with invaluable insights into the scopes of organic waste management, composting, and vermicomposting. During my tenure, I managed the production of organic vermicompost and spearheaded efforts to align our practices with the principles of the circular economy.
One of the major achievements during my time at Green Cycle Technologies was optimizing our composting and vermicomposting processes through temperature control, moisture levels, and mixing ratio techniques, which significantly improved the efficiency. This resulted in a substantial increase in vermicompost yield and also allowed us to close the loop within the circular economy framework by effectively recycling organic waste materials. Moreover, I led a team to represent our organization as a sales representative at garden shows and several other exhibitions.
These experiences expanded our customer base and also allowed me to showcase our commitment to sustainable practices. By presenting our vermicompost as a circular solution, I contributed to the reduction of organic waste in landfills and also provided gardeners and farmers with a nutrient-rich, eco-friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers.
My role at Green Cycle Technologies was about championing sustainable practices that align with the circular economy’s core principles. This experience has equipped me with a strong communication and organizational skills and a profound understanding of how businesses can make a positive impact on both the environment and their bottom line by embracing circular economy concepts in organic waste management.
